A Flamingo party.

Helium-place-card-holder-Little-Big-BellThis Flamingo party balloon post, has been inspired by the Anges De Sucre cake, which I had the pleasure of tasting this weekend, at my friend’s birthday party.

As you can see, I have the Flamingo balloon, but after you see the cake, you’ll agree that I’ll need to add some sparkle to the pink.Flamingo-cake-by-Anges-de-Sucre-Little-Big-BellHere it is. Stunning right?

Everything I love in a cake, from the colour pink, to the white chocolate drizzle and the macarons.

Aren’t those white chocolate feathers just the perfect finishing touch?Polka-dot-balloons-Little-Big-BellSo here is how I added a touch of sparkle to the pink Flamingo balloons for the party.

You can never go wrong with gold. For many of you who follow me here on the blog, know how much I adore pink and gold.

I decided to paint gold polka dots on white Helium balloons with gold leaf paint. I used the end of a pencil to dab paint onto the balloon.Gold-dotted-balloon-Little-Big-BellIt was so much fun and strangely therapeutic, as I printed little dots onto the white balloons.Gold-polka-dot-Helium-balloons-photo-by-Geraldine-Tan-Little-Big-BellIt really doesn’t matter if the dots are not perfect. The aim is to add sparkle and not perfection.Polka-dot-gold-helium-balloons-Balloon-Time-photo-by-Little-Big-BellSo here they are, all together, held by golden ribbons.

What do you think? It was an easy 10 minute DIY.Flamingo-theme-birthday-photo-by-Little-Big-BellThe pink and gold of the balloons are now ready to accompany the cake.

Is your mouth watering looking at this?Tulips-photo-by-Geraldine-Tan-Little-Big-BellAdd some beautiful Tulips, and we’re ready to party!Balloon-Time-Helium-tank-photo-by-Little-Big-BellThanks to my other reliable pink friend, the Balloon Time Helium tank.

So handy to have nearby. Balloons on demand could never have been easier. The tanks are recyclable too.flamingo-balloon-Little-Big-Bell

Hope you have enjoyed this and that it has inspired you to have fun with Helium balloons.

Wishing you a happy mid week.
