A happy and positive breakfast with pancakes and NESCAFÉ Azera.

NESCAFÉ AzeraA happy and positive breakfast with pancakes and NESCAFÉ Azera.

Being a full time doctor, mother and blogger, means that I’m often in a rush.

Mornings tend to be the most difficult time of day, as I’m having to multitask with the school runs, and then get to work at the hospital.Weekends are no better, as I’m having to focus full time on my styling and photography work for the blog. Most mornings, I don’t even have time to sit down for coffee.

Even though I believe that a positive start to the morning can improve the rest of my day, I’ve not had time to act on it, until now.
I decided that in order to bring more positivity to my morning, I would start by making small changes. My first change being, allocating time in the weekend to sit together as a family for breakfast.

I now realise that a well thought of, and beautifully presented breakfast can have a better impact on my family’s mood, than the usual scenario of cereal eaten in a hurry.Having time for breakfast together, has made us bond even closer as a family unit.
PancakesI enlisted the help of my husband, the pancake making supremo, to make his famous buttermilk pancakes.

I then topped the pile of pancakes with some fresh organic yoghurt, fruits and edible flowers. I’ve used the new NESCAFÉ Azera limited edition tins, that have been designed to evoke positivity by art students, as the inspiration for my breakfast table styling.
If you are unsure on how to inject positivity to your breakfast table, you could try using fresh colourful flowers, as a first step.A happy and colourful table evokes positivity.
Here’s a view from the top.
I think the design of the tins have been so effective, because their vibrant use of colours.

The fresh citrus tones come across as energising, and the bold use of patterns evoke a renewed sense of confidence. What would you do if you could wake up to something wonderful, new or exciting? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Love the bright table and the jazzy designs on the coffee containers. These would jolly up a rainy morning !

  2. Oh those pancakes look amazing!! Love how fun and bright the packaging and your styling is – what a lovely way to start the day 🙂

  3. Can you send your husband round to me next weekend G. Those pancakes look delish. Lovely styling as always. x

  4. I love having a special family breakfast. During the week I just about have time to feed the girls and get them out the door so I can get to work in time. I never have time to eat with them. So we always have something special on Fridays when I don’t work and then we have a special breakfast again on Sunday when my husband can join us. My table never looks anywhere near as good as yours though. Beautiful styling! Must try that coffee, those tins are beautiful!
