A stylish stepladder for the kitchen that you wouldn’t want to put away in the cupboard.

stylish stepladderI’ve been on the lookout for a stylish stepladder since my new Howdens Chilcomb range kitchen was completed.

Since my kitchen cabinets are tall and imposing, I’ve been having trouble reaching the top shelves.

I wanted a tall stepladder that would fit in well with my kitchen decor, but stylish enough to leave out, rather than hide away in the cupboard.

After an extensive search of the internet, I found the beautifully elegant white stepladder that you can see in my photo above. It ticked all the boxes for me.

stylish stepladder from Design House StockholmSo, my stylish stepladder is befittingly called ‘Step’.

It’s in a white stained oak and was designed by Karl Malmvall for Design House Stockholm, sold via Holloways of Ludlow.

Interestingly, did you know Karl Malmvall was previously a designer for Ikea for 2 whole decades?

In 2011, Step was awarded best furniture piece of the year by Wallpaper and Swedish Elle Decoration magazines. I am not surprised, as it is truly stunning.

It even comes with a small hook for wall mounting, so you can proudly display it. After all, who would want to hide this beautiful piece of design away?

It slides open and close easily, and is light enough to carry around the house. Importantly, it is robust enough to take a good amount of weight, and also provide adequate stability and support.

Ironically, I’ve now said goodbye to my old Ikea stepladder.

If you love this too, then I have great news for you. Here’s a little heads up to my giveaway of a same Step ladder, that’s worth £376, from May 11th till May 25th 2021 on my Instagram .  Do enter for a chance to win it.

Good luck. x
