Autumn lighting at home is all the more important now that the clocks have gone back an hour as Daylight saving time ends.
Light is essential to boost our mood and sense of wellbeing and this can be a problem as night draws in earlier.
My two favourite seasons are Spring and Autumn. Spring because it’s getting lighter and a renewed sense of optimism and newness emerges. I love Autumn for the cozy vibes as the weather gets cooler.
Getting the correct Autumn lighting is crucial. Many people avoid using their main ceiling lights as that can be too harsh for the eyes and make a space feel cold.
I wanted to introduce you to a new lighting brand I recently discovered called Lanna Passa which has given my home the most wonderful cozy Autumn feel from their bamboo wood basket floor lamps as seen above.Based in Chiang Mai, Lanna Passa is a small family run business.
Their ethos is to support artisanal craftsmanship and create beautiful sustainable homewares.
They do the latter by working with the ethnic hill tribes of Hmong and Lisu.
Lanna Passa ( translated as Lanna “a million rice fields” and Passa “language”) started off their business on the back of an idea to repurpose woven fish traps into pendant lights. That idea has led to the growth of their business and their signature bamboo pendant lights.
I absolutely love the texture of these elegant floor lamps, repurposed woven fish trap baskets in bamboo wood.
I have used warm tone bulbs and I love how the light radiates creating a soft sunshine glow.
It makes me feel happy, warm and even transports me back to the warmth of Asia.
The floor lamps come in 3 different sizes of heights and their cord lengths are customisable.
Don’t they look wonderful?
My husband who rarely comments even said he loved the lamps as did my Gen Z daughter.
Do take a look at Lanna Passa.
They sell other beautiful homewares too from woven wall art, home textiles and Hill tribe cushions and pillows. Lanna Passa ships internationally and the process as I have experienced has been seamless.
Hope you have enjoyed this Autumn lighting post.
Have a beautiful day all.
