Butter yellow I sense is this season’s new Spring darling. Last year it was red and white everywhere.
I absolutely love the combination of this blue and yellow with the pops of Burgundy of Cafe Petiole in London’s Somerset house.
I can see why I was so attracted to this colour combination. It reminds me of my son’s bedroom. See below.
My son loves blue, but rather than just keeping everything blue, in 2021, I decided to add some buttery yellow against it. You can see more of his bedroom here.
The two colours just blend so well together don’t you think?
The pops of Burgundy and pinky hues go so well with that butter yellow.
I’m loving this pink marble arch against the yellow. In fact we have a similar marble arch in our Paris home too but in blue. Will show on the blog soon.
This beautiful project for Cafe Petiole led me to Duelle studio and I feel an alignment in aesthetic. Love how they have transformed the space with colour.
We will be renovating our London home soon and I’m shortlisting interior architects to work with. Duelle studio is on the list.
A huge thank you to Jasper Fry for letting me use his photos of Cafe Petiole. Do check out Jasper’s work, his portfolio is amazing. I’m loving the buttery yellow. At least one of the rooms in my home is on trend.
Not sure if this is a passing trend, but I do love the colour.
However, my son is now grown up. This was his room 4 years ago. Time for an update soon with the renovation. Watch this space.
