My Citrus theme Christmas tree for 2018

My Citrus theme Christmas tree for 2018

How time flies! It’s less than one week to Christmas.

I better get my skates on. Last year, my rainbow tree was a hit, and this trend has even gone mainstream this year, with John Lewis featuring a similar tree.

This year, I was interviewed by Grazia magazine on what my 2018 Christmas tree would look like.

I did mention to Rachel Loos, Grazia’s reporter that I had an idea but didn’t know if I would execute it as I didn’t have the baubles yet.

I told Grazia that I was going to decorate in Citrus tones.

So, Living Coral is Pantone’s colour of the year, and will be big in 2019, but I’ve already done coral for the past couple of years. My living room modular sofa is in that shade.

I felt a new hue, such as yellow, should step out of the shadows.

Who knows? Perhaps yellow may be the Spring colour of the year in 2020?Yellow is so energetic and happy. It’s the perfect colour to see us into the new year.

If you saw my last blog post, you may have seen my new yellow Harper sofa from sofa. com. Here it is again. So here it is! What do you think?I thought the yellow sofa was the perfect backdrop to style my Citrus theme tree against.Despite my last minute decision to do a theme tree, I was fortunate to have Christmas Time UK come to my rescue. It was easy to find what I needed, as Christmas Time UK is one of the UK’s largest online retailer for Christmas lighting and decorationsThe yellow, lime and orange baubles on my citrus Christmas tree come in 3 sizes, and they are all shatterproof.I’ve also decided to layer on some tinsel. Tinsel is so fun. So what do you think of the new citrus Christmas tree Christmas tree?

Hope you like it. I love how my space feels so vibrant and energetic now.

Hope you are all doing well in the lead up to Christmas.

Wishing you a wonderful and joyful Christmas and New Year.

( All photography and styling are by myself, the baubles were borrowed from Christmas Time UK)
