The Classic English Home interiors style is one to watch this Autumn, spotted at the John Lewis press show.
I have noticed this trend gaining momentum since last year as an evolution of the Cottage Core trend. There are less floral prints and chintz, more stripes and a bold mix of patterns.
Red as a colour continues to go from strength to strength as per the Unexpected Red Theory.
I love all things red and stripy, and when I spotted this Classic English armchair in a beautiful red stripe, I was sold.
Green also seems to be the colour for a Classic English Home interiors style. It’s a deeper olive or mossy green, the colour of classic english Wellington boots.
Bobbin wood furniture features a lot too. This Bobbin Console table from John Lewis will retail at £149 which is amazing.
Here’s another Bobbin chest of drawers at a fabulous price of £499.
This curtain fabric is gorgeous and very much in line with the Classic English home interiors aesthetic. It’s actually giving me Florence Broadhurst vibes.
I believe John Lewis offers a Bespoke service for curtains as well as a Made to Measure Express service that’s ready in 7-14 days.
Check out that large Berry lamp base with a green foliage, available from September for £195.
I’m not sure who supplied the flowers for this press event but I love the mix of brown hues. I’m going to try to reproduce this for Fall.
This beautiful dining table collection is a collaboration between John Lewis and Collagerie. It’s a celebration of British pattern and a masterclass in layering and colour.
Lucinda Chambers and Serena Hood of collagerie worked alongside the design team at John Lewis to unearth a curation of prints from John Lewis’ archive of 35000 patterns.
Over a year in the making, they have come together with an 86 piece collection, from cushions, to linens, lighting, tableware, wallpaper and nightwear.
I’m looking forward to seeing it all from September 2024. Hope you have enjoyed the sneak peek above of the sweeping Classic English home interiors trend.
