Colourful Christmas gift ideas from Suki McMaster. (2015)

Start-each-day-with-a-grateful-heart-1-by-Suki-Mcmaster-photo-by-Little-Big-BellColourful Christmas gift ideas?

I’m really getting ahead of myself aren’t I?

But no, this is my attempt at organisation.

Although big oops! I’ve just realised Halloween hasn’t made it on the blog yet.

Start each day with a grateful heart. I certainly was grateful one morning, when a colour filled parcel arrived for me. It came all the way from Australia, from Suki Mc Master.

I thought to myself, this would make a great colourful Christmas gift blog post. I held back for a while, but now the time is ripe, judging by the Christmas shops that have popped up everywhere.Suki-mcmaster-styling-and-photo-by-Little-Big-BellI am a Summer person and totally envious of Australia’s impending warm weather.

However, just because Winter is coming, doesn’t mean we have to drain the colour out of our living rooms right?

In fact, I think this is the best time to inject vibrant pops of bright to create an energised feel. These printed cushions by Suki should do the trick.Suki-mcmaster-cushion-photo-by-Little-Big-BellI really think Australia is one of the countries at the forefront of experimenting with colours.

I can still remember visiting Melbourne as a child, long time ago, and being struck by the bold and sunny colours used by the renowned artist Ken Done in his homewares collection.Suki-mc-master-print-styled-and-photographed-by-Little-Big-BellThis gorgeous Geometric print will soon have its place on my workspace gallery wall. Suki-Mc-master-photo-by-Little-Big-BellAdore this sweet little bird mug with the brights from my pencils.Suki-mcmaster-mugs-styling-and-photo-by-Little-Big-BellHow cute is that bear with the scarf! It’s called Apricity.Suki-mc-master-print-photo-by-Little-Big-BellBotanicals and flowers are definitely in!Colourful-prints-by-Suki-Mcmaster-photo-by-Little-Big-BellHere’s how I’ve styled my prints. Ladybird-and-palm-print-by-Suki-McmasterHave you noticed that the monstera plants are everywhere in interiors styling at the moment?

I’m sure it is a very resilient plant but I haven’t the green fingers nor the time, so I was quietly chuffed when Suki sent me this print. No need to water, just stare.Suki-Mcmaster-homewares-photo-by-Little-Big-BellHere they are, above my Victorian fireplace.

I’m feeling the Summer cheer now and absolutely no worries for the shorter daylight hours of Winter.

Hope this post has provided you some inspiration for a colourful Christmas present. Wishing you a lovely weekend.

Such anan array of colour, so refreshing on such a dark and rainy day. The ladybird print is so sweet. And the pencils, colour and gold ♥ did you design them?

Thank you Heather. Suki is one talented lady. The pencils were bought from Tiger store. 🙂
