Currys movie night on a barge.

House-boat-party-Little-Big-BellA fortnight ago, I was invited to a bloggers party on a houseboat, complete with bubbly and candies on King’s Coss canal in London.Floating-cinemaThe icing on the cake was that it was a Floating Cinema.

Let’s play guess what film we watched?

Just for fun, I’m going to include some quotes from the show throughout the post.

Apologies in advance if it doesn’t totally sound like me.

Anyway, when I told my daughter I was going to watch one of her favourite films on a barge, I had hoped she would have thought that “I’m not a regular mom, I’m a cool mom”, but that was not to be.House-boat-cards-by-Scout-Editions-featured-on-Little-Big-BellWe passed loads of colourful houseboats, just like the ones illustrated above by my friend Pui of Scout Editions.Currys-movie-night-photo-by-Little-Big-BellCurry’s, one of UK’s leading electrical store hosted this fun party.

I think it was pretty obvious we had popcorn.The-floating-cinema-with-Curry's-styling-and-photo-by-Little-Big-BellI was going to wear my pink Kate Spade dress, but then realised it was Sunday and it’s only “On Wednesday we wear pink”. So it had to be a blue and green colour blocked dress.

Want to check out what was in my “You can’t sit with us” handbag? ( You have either got the film by now or I’ve completely lost you in this post.)

Anyway, you can see I am a real Benefit cosmetics fan and Quay Australia sunglasses are totally “fetch”.

Love the holographic effect of the floating cinema’s programme leaflet.Bando-girl-gang-party-styling-and-photo-by-Geraldine-Tan-Little-Big-BellThe party on the barge was so “grool” ( great and cool combine).

There was sparkling wine with raspberries and bags of candies which included my favourite Flying saucer sweets, love its sherbet fizz when the coloured rice paper melt in the mouth.Outdoor-cinemaThe film we watched was from a Acer projector.

Now I really need one to recreate this outdoor film party scene. It would be perfect for my daughter’s birthday, in my back garden, before Summer goes.

What’s missing? Oh yes, the birthday cake. “I wish I could bake a cake made out of rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat it and be happy!”.

Oh wait, no need to wish.anges-de-sucre-photo-by-little-big-bellI can just get this gorgeous one from Anges de Sucre.

Have you guessed the film? It’s none other than Mean Girls, starring Lindsay Lohan.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this and that I didn’t lose you with all those quotes. Just a heads up, the Floating cinema is running till 20th September, so do check it out.

Back soon with more fun and colourful posts. Happy Bank holiday for those in the UK and everyone else, a happy weekend.

Don’t miss a post and follow me on Bloglovin.

( All photography and styling are by Geraldine Tan of Little Big Bell except for the outdoor cinema picture which is by Lay baby Lay. This post is done in collaboration with Currys but not sponsored. All opinions are my own).
