“Every great day starts the night before” says eve mattress. I’m sure many of us won’t disagree with that. Sleep is so crucial to one’s ability to function well the next day.

There are many factors that affect sleep, and the comfort of your mattress is one large piece of that jigsaw.

I’m sure many will agree that investing in a great mattress is that first important step to a good night’s sleep. Equally, I’m sure that many like I, are apprehensive about spending so much money to do that.

Wouldn’t it be great to be able to experience a mattress before committing to buy?

In steps eve Mattress’ Nap Station, at the Old Truman Brewery in London’s Brick Lane. It is a super cool pop up that will run till Sunday 10th July 2016. There are nap pods there for you to power nap and get that first hand feel of the mattress.This pop up space is also about supercharge productivity, the type you get after a good night’s sleep or nap.

In line with that theme, eve Sleep has created communal workstations at the pop up, including the option to work from bed.

There is also free WiFi, charging points, artisan coffee from Black Box and a series of weekly talks, including a sleep well clinic by The Sleep Expert to the stars, Max Kirsten.eve mattresses are recognised by their trademark yellow edges.

Yellow to me, is all about being vibrant, happy and full of life. It’s that feeling you get when you are well rested.A few weekends ago, I decided to try out the Nap Station space for myself. Naturally,I decided to wear my yellow floral Kate Spade New York dress to match the eve branding.

Here I am with my delicious cup of coffee from BlackBox.Here are the work stations. It’s such a cool space. You really have to try it out before it ends this weekend. I have decided to style my little work corner so it felt like home.On the walls of The Nap Station space are the mattresses with specially commissioned art covers.There was even an installation of eve pillows on the ceiling.This was the bed at the pop up space window.You can see I was totally prepared to nap with my eye mask.

eve will give you your own sleeping kit too when you try the nap stations.Can you tell which pod I napped in? Yes indeed, the one filled with happy smiling balloons.eve mattresses are made of 3 layers. The top layer is a 4cm new generation memory foam which provides balanced comfort, relieves pressure on joints and encourages ease of movement. The second layer is a 3cm breathable comfort layer with cooling foam. The bottom layer is an 18cm high density base layer hat provides the support for the layers above.So how did feel after my 30 minute power nap? The same as those faces on the balloons.

When I said I power napped, I actually just laid there with my eyes closed whilst experiencing the comfort of the mattress.I got a better try at home.

Yes, we are indeed a converted eve mattress family. This is my son’s room with his new Eve mattress.

The mattress comes all vacuum packed in a beautifully designed box, making it easy to carry. In fact, I was amazed at how they were able to pack such a big mattress into such a small box.

I actually adore that yellow edging to the mattress. I need to find out from eve if they sell a bed cover with that trademark yellow. If not, I think they should, I love the way it looks. it really draws out all the pops of yellow in his room.Sometimes when I travel and stay in hotels, I judge them by the comfort of their beds. I have had a few amazing occasions when I have slept like a baby. That instant dreamland sleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.

I then wake up the next morning wishing I could take the mattress home with me. The eve mattress gives me that same feeling. The good news is that I no longer have to wish, as I now own one of ‘those mattresses’.You may think I’m saying the above because eve gave me the mattress, but that is not the case at all.

In fact, I too was sceptical at first about changing my mattress. Why change something when it was working perfectly fine? To me, it’s not the need to address whether I can sleep but it was the quality of that sleep. I’m not sure what it is but I do feel so much more refreshed. I have been able to take power naps on this mattress in between editing photos and blogging.You too can try it and decide for yourself.
