eve mattress. That eve sleep feeling and the Power of Yellow.

Eve-sleeping-feeling-photo-by-Little-big-Bell“Every great day starts the night before” says eve mattress. I’m sure many of us won’t disagree with that. Sleep is so crucial to one’s ability to function well the next day.

There are many factors that affect sleep, and the comfort of your mattress is one large piece of that jigsaw.

I’m sure many will agree that investing in a great mattress is that first important step to a good night’s sleep. Equally, I’m sure that many like I, are apprehensive about spending so much money to do that.

Wouldn’t it be great to be able to experience a mattress before committing to buy?

In steps eve Mattress’ Nap Station, at the Old Truman Brewery in London’s Brick Lane. It is a super cool pop up that will run till Sunday 10th July 2016. There are nap pods there for you to power nap and get that first hand feel of the mattress.Black-box-london-coffee-Little-Big-BellThis pop up space is also about supercharge productivity, the type you get after a good night’s sleep or nap.

In line with that theme, eve Sleep has created communal workstations at the pop up, including the option to work from bed.

There is also free WiFi, charging points, artisan coffee from Black Box and a series of weekly talks, including a sleep well clinic by The Sleep Expert to the stars, Max Kirsten.Eve-mattress-and-pillow-photo-by-Geraldine-tan-Little-Big-Belleve mattresses are recognised by their trademark yellow edges.

Yellow to me, is all about being vibrant, happy and full of life. It’s that feeling you get when you are well rested.Eve-sleeping-feel-1-Little-Big-BellA few weekends ago, I decided to try out the Nap Station space for myself. Naturally,I decided to wear my yellow floral Kate Spade New York dress to match the eve branding.

Here I am with my delicious cup of coffee from BlackBox.Eve-mattress-workstation-photo-by-Little-Big-BellHere are the work stations. It’s such a cool space. You really have to try it out before it ends this weekend. Eve-sleep-mattress-work-station-photo-by-Little-Big-BellI have decided to style my little work corner so it felt like home.Eve-mattress-photo-by-Little-Big-BellOn the walls of The Nap Station space are the mattresses with specially commissioned art covers.Eve-pillows-photo-by-Geraldine-Tan-Little-Big-BellThere was even an installation of eve pillows on the ceiling.Eve-mattress-photograph-by-Little-Big-BellThis was the bed at the pop up space window.Eve-mattress-photo-by-Geraldine-Tan-of-Little-Big-Bell-blogYou can see I was totally prepared to nap with my eye mask.

eve will give you your own sleeping kit too when you try the nap stations.Eve-sleep-power-nap-pod-photo-by-Little-Big-BellCan you tell which pod I napped in? Yes indeed, the one filled with happy smiling balloons.Eve-sleep-power-nap-1-photo-by-Little-Big-Belleve mattresses are made of 3 layers. The top layer is a 4cm new generation memory foam which provides balanced comfort, relieves pressure on joints and encourages ease of movement. The second layer is a 3cm breathable comfort layer with cooling foam. The bottom layer is an 18cm high density base layer hat provides the support for the layers above.Balloons-eve-mattressSo how did feel after my 30 minute power nap? The same as those faces on the balloons.

When I said I power napped, I actually just laid there with my eyes closed whilst experiencing the comfort of the mattress.Eve-mattress-2-at-home-boy's-room-photo-by-Littlebigbell.comI got a better try at home.

Yes, we are indeed a converted eve mattress family. This is my son’s room with his new Eve mattress.

The mattress comes all vacuum packed in a beautifully designed box, making it easy to carry. In fact, I was amazed at how they were able to pack such a big mattress into such a small box.

I actually adore that yellow edging to the mattress. I need to find out from eve if they sell a bed cover with that trademark yellow. If not, I think they should, I love the way it looks. it really draws out all the pops of yellow in his room.bed-with-Eve-mattress-yellow-photo-by-Geraldine-Tan-littlebigbell.comSometimes when I travel and stay in hotels, I judge them by the comfort of their beds. I have had a few amazing occasions when I have slept like a baby. That instant dreamland sleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.

I then wake up the next morning wishing I could take the mattress home with me. The eve mattress gives me that same feeling. The good news is that I no longer have to wish, as I now own one of ‘those mattresses’.Eve-mattress-at-home-Little-Big-BellYou may think I’m saying the above because eve gave me the mattress, but that is not the case at all.

In fact, I too was sceptical at first about changing my mattress. Why change something when it was working perfectly fine? To me, it’s not the need to address whether I can sleep but it was the quality of that sleep. I’m not sure what it is but I do feel so much more refreshed. I have been able to take power naps on this mattress in between editing photos and blogging.yellow-room-Little-Big-BellYou too can try it and decide for yourself. In fact eve is so confident you will like it that they are willing to give their customers a risk free 100 night trial. If you don’t like it then you can simply return it.

Mine are definitely for keeps.Eve-mattress-in-bedroom-photo-and-styling-by-Geraldine-Tan-littlebigbell.comIf you have a chance and can’t wait to try out the mattress, then do pay a visit to their pop up space at the Old Truman Brewery, Shop 11, Dray walk, London E1 62L. Weekdays 8am-7pm and weekends 10am-5pm.

There is currently a £75 off discount if you use the code NAPSTATION at The Nap station or online. You can also get 10% off eve sheets, duvets and pillows in The Nap Station.

Make sure you sample the coffee there too. (Can I add there is some great shopping nearby too, loads of quirky and cool shops).

Hope you have enjoyed this post and the pops of yellow have brighten your day.

Have a lovely week all.

  1. We got an Eve mattress recently too – it’s brilliant. So comfortable, and the husband got one of their pillows too which is really comfy. I was a bit tentative and thought it might be hard, but I was so wrong!

It really is so comfortable isn’t it Rebecca? We love our eve mattress in our household. x

I love your beautiful photos and the Nap Station sounds like a genius idea!! I totally agree – mattresses are so very important and it breaks my heart that some people don’t factor them in as significant things to invest in. All that time we spend asleep can do so much damage without the appropriate support X

Thank you. The eve mattresses are super comfy and my son has now decided we can get rid of his old mattress 😉
