Gessi – thinking outside the box- sponsors of Blog Tour LA.

Gessi-milano

A warm thank you to Gessi who sponsored Blog Tour LA, which I recently attended.

I was interested to learn how this company had evolved since its inception in 1992.

Recently, I encountered a successful healthcare model described as practising ‘Disruptive Innovation’. The latter is an approach that seeks to improve a product or service in ways unexpected by the market, by designing for a different consumer in a new market, which then successfully gets taken up by the mass.

I think Gessi’s ability to think outside the box makes it a master of disruptive innovation. In1996, this was evident when it raised the status of a common faucet to an object of design, with its  Diverso range .

More recently, Gessi has released a faucet called Goccia, meaning ‘drop’, designed by Prospero Rasulo.

Its design consist of a sleek curve with a water droplet end. It comes in white, black, silver and even platinum.

Gessi has designed this to blend seamlessly into spaces one would not even consider placing faucets, such as a dining or living room.

Aesthetics aside, the Goccia taps are also environmentally friendly, with a 50% water saving ability that does not compromise on function.

I say bring on more Disruptive Innovation. Wishing you all a lovely weekend.

  1. I love the curve of the Goccia which is an ornate version of the Vola tap I have in my Kitchen at home. Have a lovely weekend. xx

  2. Faucets are taps, right? Sorry, I’m not used to seeing that word over here 😉 Love the one in the last picture. It looks very elegant with that beautiful curve and the simple end. Have a lovely weekend xo
