I have just returned from a wonderful week in Salt Lake City, where I attended the Alt Summit blogging conference.
As well as learning new ideas for taking my blog to the next level, I have had the opportunity to connect with many inspiring bloggers there.
I have created the vignette above for the wonderful ladies I met at Alt. – You’re simply lovely!
A heads up for my lovely readers – Alt summit is now offering an early bird rate for their Summer conference in June.
As well as connecting with like minded creatives, we had the opportunity to mingle with brands and pitch our ideas for collaboration.
I had the great pleasure of meeting with the team behind Minted, an online design marketplace who source the creative work of independent artists and select the best to sell in the form of art, home decor and stationery.
Here’s some of the cute Valentine’s day designs created by Minted which I have styled. My kids are certainly in for a treat.
All wrapped up now in Minted’s printed fabric. Talking about fabric, they are bringing out a new line of party table cloths.
So Valentine’s day is fast approaching. I decided to play around with my Motex label maker.
Here’s a fast and easy card to make. Just punch the words and stick! Simple but says it all.
Like Halloween, I get the impression that Valentine’s day is celebrated by children more in the U.S. than here in Britain and Europe.
I just can’t resist packing these heart shaped candies into my beautiful gold foiled paper bags.
Now the question is, will my young son take it to school to give to his little friends? Let’s just say I’m working on it. Pretty candies can’t go to waste right?
Or I may well have to resort to bringing it to work. Doctors do need all the sugar they can get to survive a full busy day in the Emergency department.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have this for Valentine’s day? I might have to direct my wonderful husband to my Cocktails Pinterest board.
Sweet treats, cocktails and party glitter, but what alternatives apart from that and flowers?
Gold foiled stationery is so on trend at the moment. It was not that long ago that I got my gold foiled business cards made, a collaboration with Studio Sarah London.
I have stocked the above beautiful ‘Je t’aime’ print by the talented Vana Chupp in my Great.ly shop. A perfect Valentine’s gift for him or her.
Then there is this tray by Inkspot Workshop which can be gold foiled to your custom words, a special meaningful something between loved ones.
I think I might get one made with the words Sparkle and Shine, in line with my new business cards.
Some glitter and pastel heart balloons I’ve created for you, my readers. Wishing you all in advance a happy Valentine’s day!
See you next week! I have a whole string of exciting collaborations coming up, can’t wait to show you.
( All photos and styling are by Geraldine Tan of Little Big Bell, the exceptions are the print by Vana Chupp and Inkspot Workshop).
