How to create a gift surprise with balloons.

Balloons-The-Stylist-magazine-1-event-London-photo-by-Little-Big-BellChristmas may be over, but the season of gifting never ends. Valentine’s day is round the corner, then there’s Easter, and the list goes on.

I love shopping for gifts, so this is music to my ears. However, it’s also lovely to be the recipient of a surprise gift.

There’s something about Helium balloons that always bring joy and smiles. Perhaps it’s that childhood memory of fun days out, or the anticipation of parties to come.

I thought it would be fun to create a post on how to create a gift surprise with balloons.

I used my portable Balloon Time helium tank at home to inflate 4 pink balloons.

For the gift wrap, I used some recycled colourful fabric.

Here’s the simple idea:

Attach a Helium balloon to each corner of the fabric with double sided tape or staples, then fold the cloth over to cover the gift like an envelope.

Tie the sequin balloon strings together in the middle with a bow. Then place it all somewhere for that unexpected surprise.Balloon-time-gift-Little-Big-BellHow nice it must be to untie that bow to reveal ….Pink-Anemone-flowers-with-Mimosa-for-Valentine's-day-photo-by-Little-Big-BellA pretty posy of freshly cut flowers, wrapped in kraft paper. Add a sprinkling of confetti for colour.Valentine's-day-flower-ideas-by-Geraldine-Tan-Little-Big-BellPlace those floral blooms in water.Valentine's-day-ideas-Little-Big-BellAnd why not re-use that fabric with the attached balloons to display the flowers as a vignette.Valentine's-day-with-Balloon-time-by-Little-Big-BellAdd a sparkly heart for Valentine’s day. Balloon-time-Helium-tank-1-Little-Big-BellThere you have it, a simple to create fabric and balloon wrap for gifts.

Having that Helium Balloon Time tank at home means I can create surprise gifts any time.

Hope you have enjoyed the post. Have a lovely weekend.

  4. Such a cute idea for a gift and I love how happy and bright it all looks! Although I would say, use the helium sparingly because it’s a limited natural resource (I know I sound like a killjoy here) and we could run out of it within our lifetimes 😉 xx
