Exterior And Garden

Hypedome garden pods, an option for our garden design.

The British weather can be so unpredictable.

I’m currently in the process of designing my garden at home and am considering a hot tub.

Our garden is tiny and overlooked by neighbours.

We’d love to position the hot tub in the far end where we are most overlooked, but want to have a design solution that would maintain both privacy and the capacity for use, no matter what the weather conditions may be.

I’ve recently come across the garden domes by Hypedome.

It’s a frameless, garden igloo-like pod that is self-supporting, giving it a clean, elegant and modern aesthetic look.

Hypedome comes in a variety of styles such as a clear canopy version for if you want to immerse yourself in nature, or you could opt for a tinted Grey version that offers a little more privacy but still affords a view out. For total privacy, there’s the option of the Mirror or Opal panel versions.

I do like how the Mirror panel version can camouflage the canopy into its surroundings.

We would like privacy from peering eyes above, but still feel at one with nature outside, so we may place the more opaque privacy panels at the top and the clearer ones at eye level – it’s possible to customise the panels!

It’s designed to stand strong against the test of time and inclement weather.

The latter ticks the box for our desire to have year-round spa tub moments.

The garden igloo comes in four sizes with interconnecting options.

The other geodesic dome kit possibilities include creating an additional guest bedroom, an outdoor dining space, a workspace or just a garden lounge area.

From my research into Hypedome, construction is straightforward and intuitive. It takes approximately half a day to build.

The domes can be built on a variety of bases.

Even better, doesn’t require planning permission in most cases.

There are also lots of additional add-ons for the Hypedomes, such as insulated bases and upholstered panels.

You can also get panels for an AC unit or window panels for ventilation.

Lighting kits are also available to add a little sparkle at night.

For us, ventilation would be important, so it’s great to know that there are options for that too.

I’m excited to start on our garden design. I can already see a Hypedome becoming the perfect addition to our hot tub setup.
