Recently I styled up a vignette taking inspiration from John Lewis’s new Winter Luxe EDIT.
Winter Luxe to me screams a cosy blanket, steaming hot tea and sweet treats.
Then, to snuggle up in a warm blanket with a favourite novel!
I have picked the super soft Flannelette Herringbone Throw from their collection. It’s proving so popular in our household now that I think I might have to get another one.
To set the scene, light a scented candle. There’s nothing more relaxing than the hypnotising dance of a flickering flame.
I absolutely adore Tom Dixon’s scented candles. I bought the Royalty candle, housed in a smart nickel vessel, with a marble lid.
Just the description of the scent, is making me dream! Here it is : ‘ A reminiscence of tea time with a pot of Earl Grey, scones with strawberry jam and a drive home in a ’52 Bentley with tatty leather seats.’
Now that I’ve mentioned Earl Grey, that is what I shall drink. Steaming hot tea poured from my Marimekko Oiva Siirtolapuutarha jug into its matching mug.
The beautiful white tray is from John Lewis’ Home collection. I absolutely adore it! If you place it on a stool, it makes a lovely side table – just perfect as a surface for styling shots.
