My review of the new Kenwood kMix mixer launched in 2017.

My review of the new Kenwood kMix mixer launched in 2017.

I have a white and grey kitchen, and have been on the hunt for a new kitchen mixer to match it.I was excited when I saw that the new kMix mixer by Kenwood came in a similar white and grey shade.

The Kenwood kMix mixer brand had always stuck with me, since I saw it on the Great British Bake Off.

The way I look at it is that, if it’s good enough for TV legend Mary Berry, then it’s good enough for me.

They do come in a variety of colours too. There is cherry red, olive black, double cream and an exclusive limited edition Rose Gold.

I haven’t seen any images of the Rose Gold version yet, but I bet it would be the talk of the kitchen. No more tired hands whisking and mixing pancake batter on weekends . The kMix mixer with its powerful 1000W motor has allowed me to whisk, mix, knead and fold with such ease.

Its large 5 litre bowl, made it super handy for large batch baking.

What I like about the bowl is that, it is made of glass, so no more peeking over a metal bowl to guess consistency.

All can be seen clearly and this really helps the whole baking process. The mixer comes with the required tools that allow for easy creaming, beating, whisking and the handling of dough.

There is also a removable splashguard which came in handy when milk and eggs were being added.I have since used my mixer to make a variety of recipes.

Most recently, I made a Summer fruit pavlova using a Jamie Oliver recipe. The whisk worked beautifully to provide the required peaks prior to baking.

The meringue came out how I wanted it to be, crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside.

I have also spent this weekend making a cheese cake with a special alcohol ingredient ( soon to be revealed on the blog).

Creaming the ingredients was so easy, with a choice of speed controls to get the right consistency. The result was a really smooth and creamy cheese cake. Here are the pancakes I made using my kMix mixer. They were light and fluffy, just the way the kids love them to be.I’m really pleased with my new 1000W Kenwood kMix mixer. Not only has it fitted in aesthetically well in my kitchen, it has been a wonderful addition that has inspired me to bake more often.

Can’t wait to show you my cheese cake recipe next week.

Wishing you all a wonderful start to your week.
