Shampoo bars, do they work? A review of Hairy Jayne’s vegan hair care products.

shampoo barsShampoo bars? My interest was piqued when Hairy Jayne, a brand selling natural vegan conditioner and shampoo bars asked me to try out their products.

I loved the sound of a hair product that is cruelty free and to top that, also plastic, soap, palm oil and sulphate free.I must admit, I was sceptical at how a soap free bar could clean my hair.

However, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of lather the bar generated. The scent released was amazing too. In combination with the shower or bath steam, it felt like a spa.

There are a variety of fragrances to choose from, such as Floral, Citrus, musk and herbal. shampoo barsThe bars are made with shampoo ingredients incorporating Aloe Vera and mango butter. They are gentle and ph balanced for healthy hair.

The conditioner bars are great for wavy and curly hairs. They advise a reverse washing method by rubbing in a small amount of conditioner first before shampooing. I tried this and the results were soft silky hair without feeling greasy.

It’s great that the packaging is eco friendly and sustainable too.So, I’ve given the Hairy Jayne hair care range a great thumbs up. I love it so much that I’ve swopped from using my usual shop bought bottle shampoo.

As well as my hair smelling and looking lovely, the bathroom smells amazing too.

One last point to add, is that these bars are great to take with you whilst travelling, as you won’t be limited by volume, as with liquid shampoo, when passing through airport checks.

If you get a chance, you should give Hairy Jayne’s shampoo bars and conditioner a try. I think you’ll like it too.
