Last Summer, I was invited to visit Sophie Conran’s home, to see her new Autumn Winter homewares collection.

It was so lovely to meet Sophie in person, and I was also excited to be given a sneak peek of her new Colour Pop tableware collection for Portmeirion.

As you can see, it wasn’t difficult to get excited, when presented with such a pretty pastel sight.Sophie Conran for PortmeirionDuring the weekend, the weather was rather grey, and I felt a colourful cheer was much needed in the kitchen for our Sunday family lunch.

I found the perfect antidote for that dark Autumn’s day, in Portmeirion’s Colour Pop tableware collection. We also lit the fireplace for the first time this year, and the whole space started to feel really cosy.

It was as if the sun had suddenly reappeared . I love how you can mix and match the pastel hues, to create your own combinations. They reminded me of the gorgeous ice cream coloured Art Deco buildings on the seafront of Miami’s South Beach.Don’t you think this Colour Pop collection would make a wonderful Christmas gift for someone special? I must admit I felt like an excited kid being let loose in a candy store, when I was unboxing these pretty pastel plates. The quality of the porcelain from this collection is wonderful and looks really elegant too.

What’s amazing is how sturdy it is, being fully microwave, oven, dishwasher and freezer safe.I’m so pleased to have my very own Sophie Conran for Portmeirion collection.I really felt like Christmas had come early for me.I will most definitely be using them daily from now on.You too can own your own Sophie Conran for Portmeirion Colour Pop tableware collection.
