Spring Fair 2017 – UK’s largest Home and Gifts trade fair.

Spring-fair-2017-Little-Big-BellLast August, I attended the Autumn Fair at Birmingham’s NEC, and wrote a post about my curated finds. This year, I have been invited back again, to the Spring Fair, to do an instagram takeover of the show. For this post, I have also decided to do a little pre event curate of the exhibitors.

The Spring fair is UK’s premier gift and home trade event, with over 2500 exhibitors, divided into 14 sectors, with the DIY and Home Improvement sector as a new addition.

The Spring fair will be taking place from 5-9th February 2017 at Birmingham NEC. It is a place for buyers to source new products and discover the upcoming consumer trends for the next season.

Visitors who attend vary from homeware buyers of large department stores, to independent local gift stores, both high street and online.

Retailers come from all over the UK, Europe and other international countries.

There will also be high profile keynote speakers at the fair. During the Autumn fair, I got to hear Jo Malone speak about her highs and lows of building her business. This year, the Spring fair will be hosting talks by Mary Portas and  Baroness Karen Brady, also known for her role in the TV show ‘The Apprentice’.

Anyway, back to the pre show curate of exhibitors. I have browsed through and visited the extensive list of exhibitors online.

The image above is a compilation of items that I have curated from my chosen exhibitors. I will definitely be visiting their stalls to see what other new offerings will be on display.

Beautiful stationery from Artebene. ( Top row image)

Scanpan pink cook knife from Haus.

Manto teapot  in white and brass by Bredemeijer from Haus.

Genesis coffee table from Coach house.

Cashmere heel toe contrast socks in pink from Caroline Gardner.

Concrete Manhattan bench from Muubs.

Lithuanian linen fringe napkin in Forest Green from Canvas Home.

Fairmont & Main Spot On dinner plate.

White marble table with hammered metal base from Cozy Living.

Interior-trends-for-2017One exhibitor that really caught my eye was Canvas Home, founded by British designer and entrepreneur, Andrew Corrie. Their design philosophy is to create artisanal homewares and furniture that are modern and sustainable, that can fit into any home.

Here are a few of my selections from Canvas Home along the lines of my interior trends prediction for 2017:

Beaded pendant lamp in blush and gold.

Hand dyed silk and linen pillows in pastel hues.

Crosby club chair in a sage green colour.

Morandi bud vase in blue.

Mercer tufted sofa in blue.

So, will you be attending the Spring Fair to stock your shop? or perhaps attend to find inspiration for your home?

I’m looking forward to discovering the new products and furniture on show. Do keep an eye on Spring & Autumn fair’s instagram account for my takeover.

Hope you’ve enjoyed the curate. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead.

( Images for the post are from the various stores featured, this is a sponsored collaborative post with Spring Fair, but all opinions and selections are my own).
