Park-city-utah-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell I’m finally getting round to posting some photos from my January trip to Utah. I visited Park City on the second day of my stay in Salt Lake City. It was approximately a half an hour’s drive away.

As Park City’s altitude was at least 800m higher compared to Salt Lake City, a transition in weather condition was expected.

The Wasatch mountains were indeed covered in powdery snow, so beautiful with the brightly painted houses.

Park-City-homes-photo-Little-Big-Bell As well as being one of the prettiest towns, Park City is also one of the wealthiest cities in the United States.

It is home to 3 major ski resorts and hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics. There’s also a large and separate slope for daring snow boarders.

My driver was a wealth of information, he told me that the nearby Deer Valley resort was a Winter playground for the rich and famous, with their holiday homes.

No-name-saloon-Park-city-photos-by-Geraldine-Tan-of-Little-Big-Bell Park City was definitely different to downtown Salt Lake City. There was an immediate heritage feel to the place with its preserved architecture.

All around, people were busy preparing for the crowd surge that is to come. It was 3 days to go before the quiet town was to host the annual Sundance Film festival.

United-states-post-office-Park-City-Utah-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell Isn’t the post office so charming?

Red-Banjo-pizza-Little-Big-Bell Along the main street were a great choice of eateries. I was recommended Cafe Terigo for lunch and it didn’t disappoint. I had the most delicious grilled salmon and avocado on mixed greens with a honey mustard dressing, garnished with crunchy onion rings. All washed down with the most refreshing iced tea.

Park-city-heritage-houses-1-Slat-Lake-City-photos-by-Geraldine-Tan-of-Little-Big-Bell-blog Lining the main high street of Park City were many little independent stores, although I must admit I found that majority of them were selling tourist merchandise. However, the good news is that there are free buses that transport you to the Tanger retail outlet store close by – Imagine J.Crew and Abercrombie and Fitch at 75% off!

What attracted me to Park City were the cute heritage homes like the one above. Love the sweet little porch. Just imagine some peace and quiet, drinking hot chocolate and watching the world go by.

Park-City-pastel-coloured-homes-Little-Big-Bell The sky blue and peach hue of this little home were so perfectly partnered that I couldn’t resist taking a photo.

Snow-in-Park-City-Utah-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell Most of the homes were colourful, but I also adored this perfectly white one. I’m imagining Christmas inside with a log burning fire, sweet scents of oranges, cinnamon and freshly baked bread. Also a beautiful fir tree adorned with twinkling lights. One can dream right?

Park-City-blue-house-Little-Big-Bell Now for the visual feast of the other colourful wooden houses lining the streets parallel to the main high street of Park City.

Colourful-wooden-houses-Park-City-Utah-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell So bright and cheerful.

red-home-Park-City-Little-Big-Bell I’m sure Santa Claus lives in this one.

Park-City-Utah-colourful-house-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell Hope you’ve enjoyed a little tour of Park City. I’m definitely returning here one Winter with the family. A perfect place for a ski trip break.

Wishing you all a happy week ahead.

Kate-Spade-Somerset-cardigan-2-on-Little-Big-Bell 2 weeks ago, I attended the blogging conference, Alt Summit, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Fashion it seems is a major part of Alt Summit.

I was lucky to have received the styling expertise of Kate Spade London’s stylist, Meghan Moore. Together, we were able to come up with 2 outfits.

The first outfit above, consisted of the Somerset cardigan in Rose Jade, and the Deco Polka dot Coreen cupcake mini skirt.

The cardigan and skirt are not available on Kate Spade UK’s website, but you may be able to purchase them from the London Sloane Square shop. Alternatively, you can purchase it online from Avenue K , who ship internationally.

The Day Tripper black necklace is available from Kate Spade London.

Geraldine-Tan-in-Kate-spade-Little-Big-Bell So here I am wearing the outfits. I learned a few styling secrets from Meghan. She suggested that the cardigan should be worn buttoned up as a top, and it should also be worn back to front.

The buttons at the back added a lovely visual feature and the plain front worked well with the necklace.

Tucking the top into the skirt was also a trick to draw one’s eyes away from the hips.

Kate-Spade-Netta-black-suede-shoes-1-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell The black suede boots that I wore were called Netta. They were perfect for adding height and super comfortable.

I love the gold metal detailing of the inner heel and the Kate Spade signature bows at the back.

Kate-Spade-Bekki-sweater-1-Little-Big-Bell My second outfit was not too dissimilar. We kept the style similar to what I felt comfortable with. This was the outfit I wore to the evening mini parties at Alt Summit.

We chose the Bekki sweater in a bright pink. I love wearing colours but I was not used to wearing such a bright hue. Surprisingly, it worked well when contrasted against the black Satin gathered skirt . I accessorised it with the same Day Tripper necklace and a fun pair of black and gold flats with the words Pop and Fizz.

Kate-Spade-shoes-pop-fizz-Little-Big-Bell Here’s a close up of my shoes and a glittery Kate Spade bag.

Kate-Spade-wellies-Little-Big-Bell I arrived a day before the conference started, so went to explore Park City, a town busy preparing for the annual Sundance film festival. Park City is also a ski resort, so snow was to be expected.

I was pleased to have brought along my Kate Spade wellington boots (top left). Again, I loved the gold detailing and bow at the back.

Hope you’ve enjoyed the post. This is my first venture into a bit of fashion blogging. I would love to hear what you think.

Wishing you a wonderful day ahead and I will be back with some fun interiors post.

The phography of me in outfits are by Izzy Hudgins, a talented photographer who I met at Alt. The others are by me.

Valentine's-day-card-by-Lagom-design-Styling-and-photograph-by-Geraldine-Little-Big-Bell I have just returned from a wonderful week in Salt Lake City, where I attended the Alt Summit blogging conference.

As well as learning new ideas for taking my blog to the next level, I have had the opportunity to connect with many inspiring bloggers there.

I have created the vignette above for the wonderful ladies I met at Alt. – You’re simply lovely!

A heads up for my lovely readers – Alt summit is now offering an early bird rate for their Summer conference in June.

Minted-Valentine's-day-2015-gift-styled-andphotographed-by-Geraldine-Little-Big-Bell As well as connecting with like minded creatives, we had the opportunity to mingle with brands and pitch our ideas for collaboration.

I had the great pleasure of meeting with the team behind Minted, an online design marketplace who source the creative work of independent artists and select the best to sell in the form of art, home decor and stationery.

Valentine's-day-gift-boxes-for-the-kids-from-Minted-Little-Big-Bell Here’s some of the cute Valentine’s day designs created by Minted which I have styled. My kids are certainly in for a treat.

Valentine's-day-Minted-Little-Big-Bell All wrapped up now in Minted’s printed fabric. Talking about fabric, they are bringing out a new line of party table cloths.

Valentine's-day-vignette-Little-Big-Bell-blog So Valentine’s day is fast approaching. I decided to play around with my Motex label maker.

Valentine's-card-Little-Big-Bell Here’s a fast and easy card to make. Just punch the words and stick! Simple but says it all.

Valentine's-day-love-heart-sweets-Little-Big-Bell Like Halloween, I get the impression that Valentine’s day is celebrated by children more in the U.S. than here in Britain and Europe.

Valentine's-candy-Little-Big-Bell I just can’t resist packing these heart shaped candies into my beautiful gold foiled paper bags.

Now the question is, will my young son take it to school to give to his little friends? Let’s just say I’m working on it. Pretty candies can’t go to waste right?

Or I may well have to resort to bringing it to work. Doctors do need all the sugar they can get to survive a full busy day in the Emergency department.

Eat-cake-and-drink-cocktails-in-bed-Little-Big-Bell Wouldn’t it be nice to have this for Valentine’s day? I might have to direct my wonderful husband to my Cocktails Pinterest board.

Valentine's-day-sweets-Little-Big-Bell Sweet treats, cocktails and party glitter, but what alternatives apart from that and flowers?

Vana-Chupp-Je-t'aime-Great.ly-Little-Big-Bell Gold foiled stationery is so on trend at the moment. It was not that long ago that I got my gold foiled business cards made, a collaboration with Studio Sarah London.

I have stocked the above beautiful ‘Je t’aime’ print by the talented Vana Chupp in my Great.ly shop. A perfect Valentine’s gift for him or her.

Inkspot-foil-tray-great.ly-Little-Big-Bell Then there is this tray by Inkspot Workshop which can be gold foiled to your custom words, a special meaningful something between loved ones.

I think I might get one made with the words Sparkle and Shine, in line with my new business cards.

Paper-heart-balloons-designed-by-Geraldine-Tan-of-Little-Big-Bell-blog Some glitter and pastel heart balloons I’ve created for you, my readers. Wishing you all in advance a happy Valentine’s day!

See you next week! I have a whole string of exciting collaborations coming up, can’t wait to show you.

( All photos and styling are by Geraldine Tan of Little Big Bell, the exceptions are the print by Vana Chupp and Inkspot Workshop).
