I hope you have all had a lovely weekend.

Last weekend, I was invited to visit the newly opened Homesense store at the Tandem Centre retail park in Merton, South London.

In fact, it was the first ever Homesense store that I have been to.

Did you know that Homesense is part of the TK Maxx group? It has a similar concept to TK Maxx, but sells branded and quality homewares. Everything there is up to 60% off in price. I decided that since the rooms at home are now starting to get darker with the diminishing light of Autumn, I would purchase something that would brighten up my space.

What do you think of these jewel coloured velvet cushions with contrasting piping? They were so affordable too, around £16 for a pair. The colours really pop against my salmon pink sofa don’t you think? I love how they match my oversized art print colours too. Those jewel tone cushions have really added an “oomph” to my space don’t you think? Velvet is so soft and warm to the touch too. When it gets colder, I will be lighting my fireplace opposite the sofa, perhaps burn a scented candle, play some tunes by Ed Sheeran and then snuggle up. Doesn’t that sound so nice? I’m so pleased with my find. In fact, I’m planning on going back to Homesense for my Christmas shopping. Everything there is such great value for money, and the quality is amazing too.

There are lots of designer one offs there, and stock is constantly changing. Each trip is unique and different. I also bought this mint coloured Ladybird books mug and a new 2018 diary. If I had more capacity to carry, I would have definitely bought more.

There are lots of Homesense branches now popping up, and you really should go and explore. A word of warning, you may become hooked, as I am now.

Hope you’ve enjoyed the fun and economical update of my living room space. I would love to know what you think. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead.

Finally, I have lots of colourful homewares posts coming up, and I can’t wait to show them to you soon.

An Autumn living room refresh with Pad Lifestyle.

Happy October! As Autumn is here, I’ve decided to give my living room a refresh. Autumn living room Since the days are getting shorter and darker, I’ve decided to go for a bright and vibrant look, but still maintaining some Autumnal tones in the colour palette. I’ve turned to Pad Lifestyle, an online and physical store based in Edinburgh, with a beautifully curated collection of homewares, for my room refresh. I’ve layered my sofa with cushions from bluebellgray, in painterly jewel tones of aubergine, aquamarine blue and emerald green, against a base layer of pink and blue Designer Guild pillows. For some extra coziness, especially on cold evenings, I’ve added a soft woolly throw. This charcoal grey Susan throw is from Care by Me. My square white coffee table has been replaced with this Eugenie round wooden one by Harto, which has added warmth to the room. I’ve styled it with a variety of new favourite coffee table books by Assouline and flowers. Love that bright pop of pink from the Ibiza book. One thing I adore about Autumn and Winter, is the excuse to indulge in hot chocolate.

I’ve decided to serve my cocoa from this earthy and organic looking Muuto push coffee pot.

I love the feel of the thick handles when pouring, and the warmth as I cup my hands around the mug. It’s nice to have the drink close by without having to reach out to the other coffee table.

I’ve placed this small portable Scandinavian style table from Design House Stockholm, alongside where I’m lounging on the sofa. Last, but not least, I couldn’t resist adding a pop of sunshine to the room. This Georges sofa is from Harto. Here’s a closer view So what do you think? Hope you’ve enjoyed my Autumn living room refresh.  I will be back soon with more interiors inspiration. Can’t wait to show you.
