christmas-bauble-wall-london-little-big-bell It was with pleasure that I took up the challenge set by Parker pen, to reveal my unplugged London locations in Chelsea.

Christmas is just about a week away. This can be an overwhelming time for many. Social media is awash with photos of festively decorated homes and gifts all wrapped up and ready.

I may have done my gift lists but I haven’t done any of my Christmas shopping yet, nor have I decorated the rooms I intended to do.

We attempted to buy our aromatic fir tree last weekend, but sadly they were all sold out. We’re now just waiting for the restock. parker-pen-little-big-bell I’m not one to panic and I shan’t. It may sound like a cliché, but Christmas to me is one of the most wonderful times of the year.

I feel happy seeing the excitement in my children’s faces and when the family gather for that Christmas meal. It’s always fun to unwrap those secret Santa gifts and then attempt to guess who they were from.

Despite the long ‘to do’ list, it is sometimes nice to be able to unwind from that fast pace living.

I’ve used Parker pens at various stages of my life and love them for their smooth elegant finish and ease of writing with.

When I received my orange Parker Chelsea jotter pen, I decided to pick the Chelsea locations that would match its colour. christmas-tree-the-ivy-chelsea-garden-little-big-bell My first unplugged London location was The Ivy Chelsea Garden on King’s road.

Look at their beautiful Christmas tree adorned with fragrant dried oranges and Cinnamon sticks.  unplugged-london-chelsea-little-big-bell For those who don’t know, at the back of the restaurant is the most beautiful garden and glasshouse. the-ivy-chelsea-garden-little-big-bell It is wonderful in Spring and Summer, but lots of people sit out in Winter too. There’s outdoor heating, blankets and an open fire to make you feel all cosy.

It’s such a beautiful haven to escape to, away from the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping. the-ivy-chelsea-gardens-little-big-bell Just love the flicker of candle light there, as I write my cards with my Parker jotter pen. All at  a leisurely pace, whilst sipping coffee. the-ivy-chelsea-gardens-by-little-big-bell Don’t you think the shades of greys and greens really compliment the copper tone of my orange pen? parker-pen-orange-unplugged-london-little-big-bell Check out my lobster Benedict and green juice for brunch at The Ivy Chelsea garden. I sat outdoors one day, in the glasshouse, by a roaring fireplace.

After brunch, I made my little list of gifts to buy. The shopping will be this weekend’s task, the last weekend before Christmas.  blue-bird-cafe-little-big-bell My second unplugged London Chelsea location is the iconic Blue Bird restaurant further down King’s road. the-bluebird-cafe-at-christmas-photo-by-geraldine-tan-little-big-bell I used to come here often when I was a medical student. It was lovely to revisit it again. places-to-get-unplugged-in-london-chelsea-little-big-bell The outdoor Copper tables of Bluebird cafe really matched the orange of my Parker jotter pen.  bluebird-chelsea-cafe-unplugged-london-little-big-bell It was lovely to sit outdoors in the heated areas. I had a steaming cup of tea and freshly baked apple crumble. Everything felt so comforting and cosy. I totally forgot that I was only metres away from the busy streets of London. copper-coloured-christmas-gift-ideas-little-big-bell The Bluebird cafe is also a prime spot for celebrity spotting, but I’m terrible at recognising them. the-ivy-chelsea-garden-christmas-wall-photo-by-geraldine-tan-little-big-bell Hope you’ve enjoyed my two ‘orange themed’  unplugged London Chelsea locations.

Wishing you a wonderful and peaceful Christmas. unplugged-london-in-chelsea
