Spring interiors Spring interiors 2018 with A by Amara’s Arcade collection.

It was such a pleasure last week to announce my brand ambassadorship with Amara, for their A by Amara Arcade range.

Since then, I’ve been busy styling my workspace and living room with this beautiful new collection.

I thought I’d show you how I’ve used a few of the colourful pieces at my desk. How do you like it? Spring Interiors I absolutely adore pink, so it’s probably no surprise that I’ve selected this Arcade fuchsia vase called Stardust. Isn’t it pretty?

Since I wanted a Spring interiors style, I decided to add a selection of pretty floral blooms into the vase. Next to my Stardust vase, is Circus, a monochrome black and white striped vase with a touch of gold. It’s such an elegant piece and would look great with all interiors styles.

I’ve decided to decorate it with a few sprigs of Eucalyptus. You could of course use colourful flowers, but I love how the green looks against the black and white. Next, is the Jamboree orange diamond weave pot, which I have used as a container for my colour pencils. The pot is perfect for little succulents and cacti too and also comes in a blue colour.

The vibrant orange and geometric patterns on that Jamboree weave pot really reminds me of the decor style of a mid century modern home in Palm Springs.

If you are unsure what I mean, here is a colourful post on Palm Springs I did a while back which may help explain.

The gold elephant trinket dish is also part of the Arcade collection. Isn’t it so cute?

I’ve used it to store my paper clips. So, what do you think of this bright new collection? I think it’s the perfect antidote to any lingering Winter blues or grey skies.

I have more Spring interiors posts coming up using the Arcade range ( the pink cushion on the chair above is a little hint of what’s next to come).

I’m really looking forward to showing it to you soon.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this colourful post. Wishing you a wonderful start to your week.

Start-each-day-with-a-grateful-heart-1-by-Suki-Mcmaster-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell Colourful Christmas gift ideas?

I’m really getting ahead of myself aren’t I?

But no, this is my attempt at organisation.

Although big oops! I’ve just realised Halloween hasn’t made it on the blog yet.

Start each day with a grateful heart. I certainly was grateful one morning, when a colour filled parcel arrived for me. It came all the way from Australia, from Suki Mc Master.

I thought to myself, this would make a great colourful Christmas gift blog post. I held back for a while, but now the time is ripe, judging by the Christmas shops that have popped up everywhere. Suki-mcmaster-styling-and-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell I am a Summer person and totally envious of Australia’s impending warm weather.

However, just because Winter is coming, doesn’t mean we have to drain the colour out of our living rooms right?

In fact, I think this is the best time to inject vibrant pops of bright to create an energised feel. These printed cushions by Suki should do the trick. Suki-mcmaster-cushion-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell I really think Australia is one of the countries at the forefront of experimenting with colours.

I can still remember visiting Melbourne as a child, long time ago, and being struck by the bold and sunny colours used by the renowned artist Ken Done in his homewares collection. Suki-mcmaster-mugs-styling-and-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell How cute is that bear with the scarf! It’s called Apricity. Suki-mc-master-print-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell Botanicals and flowers are definitely in! Colourful-prints-by-Suki-Mcmaster-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell Here’s how I’ve styled my prints.  Ladybird-and-palm-print-by-Suki-Mcmaster Have you noticed that the monstera plants are everywhere in interiors styling at the moment?

I’m sure it is a very resilient plant but I haven’t the green fingers nor the time, so I was quietly chuffed when Suki sent me this print. No need to water, just stare. Suki-Mcmaster-homewares-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell Here they are, above my Victorian fireplace.

I’m feeling the Summer cheer now and absolutely no worries for the shorter daylight hours of Winter.

Hope this post has provided you some inspiration for a colourful Christmas present. Wishing you a lovely weekend.
