A by Amara Arcade When I saw the new A by Amara Spring Summer 2018 range called Arcade, I knew  instantly that it was the collection for me.

I simply couldn’t resist all those bright and happy colours. It’s definitely a welcome change from the lingering dull of Winter.

I was over the moon when Amara asked me to be their brand ambassador for this beautiful collection. It was just perfect for me. Wouldn’t it be fun to wake up to these bright hues?

The block teal bedlinen above, with its 300 thread count, is called La Croisette. I’ve noticed that in the world of interiors, colour lovers fall into two camps.

There are those who love decorating against a darker backdrop, and those who love decorating against a light and neutral background.

Pastel colours don’t work so well with dark colours, but it’s a different story with bright and vibrant colours, such as these jewel tones from the Arcade collection. They work well against any background, and so uniting all colour lovers.

This Fiesta bedlinen and brightly coloured cushions, also from the Arcade range, perfectly illustrates how bright colours pop against a dark wall. I couldn’t take my eyes off this bathroom, with its cool mix of colours and patterns. A by Amara Arcade I wouldn’t mind having that Harlequin style floor mat in my bathroom. Doesn’t this living room, with its tribal design cushions and tassel throw, just transport you to somewhere warm and exotic?

That yellow vase is like a ray of sunshine and the perfect accent colour. The Arcade collection is not just all colour, there are also few black and white monochrome pieces, like this striking rug with its bold patterns, against which the bright yellow chairs pop. Arcade A by Amara Here are some of the decorative accessories from the range. I already have those black and white jars at home, and they look gorgeous when mixed with colours.

This may be a Spring Summer collection, but these jewel tones would work as well during the Autumn/Winter season. I love how versatile Arcade is, as you could use most pieces to style your outdoor space too. Doesn’t the garden party above just make you long for warmer days outdoors?

Hope you’ve enjoyed finding out about Arcade. do take a peek at the collection here. I have started styling the collection at home, and can’t wait to show you.

Have a lovely start to your week.

How I styled my orange sofa from Furniture village.

Last year, when I attended Milan’s design fair, Salone Del Mobile, one of the predicted trends was the burnt orange sofa.

Fast forward now to 2018, and we are starting see that trend trickle into the high street stores. We’re even seeing orange sofas in the stylish homes of people on Instagram.

I think for most, Orange is not a natural first choice colour for a sofa, probably because of its bright hue. When I mentioned that I was getting an orange sofa to a friend, she said she loved orange but found it hard to visualise it in her space, as it would clash with the colours in her home. orange sofa The image above is of my new Orange Novita swing chair by Nicoletti Home, from Furniture Village. It is a true celebration of Italian craftsmanship and Heritage.

I thought I’d try to show in this post, that orange is not as difficult a colour to style as we imagine. In fact, despite its brightness, orange combines really well with all colours.  Here you can see how I’ve combined my orange sofa with pops of blues, greens, reds and even pinks.

Orange surprisingly works well with pastel tones of sky blues, minty greens and dusky pinks too. My orange sofa looks great against a white wall but it would look equally amazing against a dark wall.

If I replaced my white wall with a midnight blue or stone grey wall, you would see all the jewel tones of my props, and that vibrant orange of the sofa pop. I adore the curved frame of my Novita Swing chair. I feel like it’s cocooning me all safe and sound.

Did you know this is the perfect instagramming chair ? What I mean is that  it has great back support for whilst I’m typing away on my phone. Then, if you feel tired, you just slide down a little and rest your head on the cushion. It’s bliss.

I’m sure the soft Italian leather and fluffy down cushions help. The frame comes in a dark walnut or Mahogany. Anyway, hope you liked my styling. It was so fun to do, and probably made easy by this beautiful 100% made in Italy chair.

Wishing you all a happy mid week.

Green-velvet-chair-from-the-French-Bedroom-company I recently wrote about my love of green and velvet, and how I thought velvet will be a growing trend this year.

Look what popped into my inbox recently. If only my computer keyboard had Emojis, I would have shown you that canary yellow face with the two red love hearts popping out of its eyes!

How gorgeous is that Emerald green chair, part of French Bedroom company’s recently launched Kae collection. Yellow-velvet-chair-French-bedroom-company-featured-on-Little-Big-Bell I know I said I loved green velvet, but now I’m being tempted with so much more choice, enough to fuel my shopping habit. ( Emoji with hands over eyes).

This Popping yellow chair just screams Summer. I can already feel the warmth of the sunshine on my face, can you too?

This chair would be perfect for adding a pop of yellow, as an accent colour to any interior space. It will go well with this season’s popular shades of pastels against a white backdrop, but would equally look stunning in darker interiors.

Imagine how this chair would light up a space when set against a slate grey or deep pigment blue wall. Blue-velvet-chair-from-FBC-featured-on-Little-Big-Bell Just when I thought I’d settle for either green or blue, out pops Royal blue (Emoji with a blue heart).

The Kae collection is definitely getting me in the mood for a vacation. I’m picturing the calm of a deep blue sea, perhaps I will dive in and swim amongst the coral reefs. If only such dreams can come true.

I love how this image has been styled, the chair juxtaposed between the old and the new, showing how it would fit in well into the two worlds of interior styles, the period and contemporary.

I’m picturing the sumptuous setting of a grand Downton Abbey style room and the contrast of a clean, modern, nautical theme coastal home or luxury hideout in the Hamptons.

Which style are you? Pink-velvet-chair-the-French-bedroom-company Those who follow my blog know that I have a soft spot for all things pink.

As far as I know, there isn’t an emoji for hands up in surrender right? Because, that is me surrendering to the desire to purchase this pink beauty for my workspace.

I am in need of a chair upgrade in my study. Not sure who I’m trying to convince, as I know I already am.

This Fuchsia pink chair screams girly glamour. I’m already picturing a glass table with gold accessories and a rounded vase full of fresh pink peonies. I could go on, but maybe I will show you one day (Emoji with a wink). Colourful-velvet-chairs-from-the-French-bedroom-company-featured-on-Little-Big-Bell-blog Just look at them altogether. Beautiful right?

I asked Georgia Metcalfe, the creative director and founder of French Bedroom Company about the inspiration behind the Kae chair collection, and this was her reply ” We wanted to merge the classic style of beautiful French furniture with modern popping bright colours to create wow factor and impact. We didn’t want to have the forgotten chair in the corner”.

She’s certainly right there. This collection is definitely a “wow” and full of “impact”. Aspinall-handbags-colourful-with-the-French-bedroom-company-featured-on-Little-Big-Bell The colourful goodness doesn’t just end there. Oh no it doesn’t!

Do you see some lovelies on those chairs? Yes, those are the beautiful new collection handbags from Aspinal of London. Introducing you to The Mini Trunk Clutch in Raspberry Lizard, the Lottie in Orange Lizard and the Grass Green Pebbles.

The wonderful news is that you will have a chance to win one of them. All you have to do is enter your details on French Bedroom Company’s site here.

You’re probably now wondering how did Aspinal of London come to collaborate with French Bedroom company?

I’ve been told that Aspinal came about as they fell in love with French Bedroom company’s Chablis and Rose sofas, which were used for their London Fashion Week 2016 presentation. French bedroom company then found out that Aspinal of London were due to launch these colourful bags around the same time as the chairs. A match made in heaven and the rest is history.

Which one will you pick? I’ve gone for the green.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this post and good luck in the giveaway.
