Bold living room ideas with Arcade from A by Amara for all seasons.

After a rather cold and snowy start to March, I’ve come to realise that I should keep my interiors flexible. What I mean by this, is that I should pick pieces that are versatile for all seasons. The new colourful Arcade range from A by Amara has fulfilled this role.

It’s also the perfect example of decorating with colours for a bold living room.

The vibrant colours are perfect for Spring/ Summer, but would look great in a Winter setting too. bold living room I was initially apprehensive about a dark patterned rug on the floor, but this Dotted Lines rug has created an amazing visual impact.

It has given the room depth and a cosy feel. It has also worked really well with the brightly coloured cushions.

I’ve used my white coffee table to tame any pattern overload.

I have also used the Parade yellow vase and books with similar pops of colour to the cushions to break up the focus of colour in one area. The pure silk cushions in the far distance are also from the Arcade range. I think the Arcade range really encompasses many styles, but at its core, it is Maximalism with colour. The bold drip inspired inspired print cushion is called Trapeze, the central tassel cushion is called Gallery ( it has a matching throw which is draped on the arm of my sofa) and the striped pom pom cushions at the back are called Regale. I was so pleased with this Circus spot vase, because it was perfect for housing my fern plant. I’m not sure how long my fern will last, but you can get a faux one too from the Arcade range.

My Circus vase sits on a beautiful grey and white marble table, also from the A by Amara range. You can see the marble side tables in the far left of the above photo. So what do you think of the bold living room ideas, using Arcade, from A by Amara?

I hope the colours have brought a smile to your face. I have styled the Arcade range in my workspace too if you fancy taking a look.

Wishing you all a wonderful start to your week.

A by Amara Arcade When I saw the new A by Amara Spring Summer 2018 range called Arcade, I knew  instantly that it was the collection for me.

I simply couldn’t resist all those bright and happy colours. It’s definitely a welcome change from the lingering dull of Winter.

I was over the moon when Amara asked me to be their brand ambassador for this beautiful collection. It was just perfect for me. Wouldn’t it be fun to wake up to these bright hues?

The block teal bedlinen above, with its 300 thread count, is called La Croisette. I’ve noticed that in the world of interiors, colour lovers fall into two camps.

There are those who love decorating against a darker backdrop, and those who love decorating against a light and neutral background.

Pastel colours don’t work so well with dark colours, but it’s a different story with bright and vibrant colours, such as these jewel tones from the Arcade collection. They work well against any background, and so uniting all colour lovers.

This Fiesta bedlinen and brightly coloured cushions, also from the Arcade range, perfectly illustrates how bright colours pop against a dark wall. I couldn’t take my eyes off this bathroom, with its cool mix of colours and patterns. A by Amara Arcade I wouldn’t mind having that Harlequin style floor mat in my bathroom. Doesn’t this living room, with its tribal design cushions and tassel throw, just transport you to somewhere warm and exotic?

That yellow vase is like a ray of sunshine and the perfect accent colour. The Arcade collection is not just all colour, there are also few black and white monochrome pieces, like this striking rug with its bold patterns, against which the bright yellow chairs pop. Arcade A by Amara Here are some of the decorative accessories from the range. I already have those black and white jars at home, and they look gorgeous when mixed with colours.

This may be a Spring Summer collection, but these jewel tones would work as well during the Autumn/Winter season. I love how versatile Arcade is, as you could use most pieces to style your outdoor space too. Doesn’t the garden party above just make you long for warmer days outdoors?

Hope you’ve enjoyed finding out about Arcade. do take a peek at the collection here. I have started styling the collection at home, and can’t wait to show you.

Have a lovely start to your week.

How I styled my orange sofa from Furniture village.

Last year, when I attended Milan’s design fair, Salone Del Mobile, one of the predicted trends was the burnt orange sofa.

Fast forward now to 2018, and we are starting see that trend trickle into the high street stores. We’re even seeing orange sofas in the stylish homes of people on Instagram.

I think for most, Orange is not a natural first choice colour for a sofa, probably because of its bright hue. When I mentioned that I was getting an orange sofa to a friend, she said she loved orange but found it hard to visualise it in her space, as it would clash with the colours in her home. orange sofa The image above is of my new Orange Novita swing chair by Nicoletti Home, from Furniture Village. It is a true celebration of Italian craftsmanship and Heritage.

I thought I’d try to show in this post, that orange is not as difficult a colour to style as we imagine. In fact, despite its brightness, orange combines really well with all colours.  Here you can see how I’ve combined my orange sofa with pops of blues, greens, reds and even pinks.

Orange surprisingly works well with pastel tones of sky blues, minty greens and dusky pinks too. My orange sofa looks great against a white wall but it would look equally amazing against a dark wall.

If I replaced my white wall with a midnight blue or stone grey wall, you would see all the jewel tones of my props, and that vibrant orange of the sofa pop. I adore the curved frame of my Novita Swing chair. I feel like it’s cocooning me all safe and sound.

Did you know this is the perfect instagramming chair ? What I mean is that  it has great back support for whilst I’m typing away on my phone. Then, if you feel tired, you just slide down a little and rest your head on the cushion. It’s bliss.

I’m sure the soft Italian leather and fluffy down cushions help. The frame comes in a dark walnut or Mahogany. Anyway, hope you liked my styling. It was so fun to do, and probably made easy by this beautiful 100% made in Italy chair.

Wishing you all a happy mid week.
