stylish storage for the bedroom (AD) It’s not easy to find the perfect stylish storage for the bedroom. I’ve been on the lookout for quite some time.

My criteria was for it be of good quality, look fabulous, be colourful and customisable for size and function.

Although we have two huge wardrobes in our bedrooms, a His and Hers, there was still not enough room.

I needed drawers for my trinkets and handbags, whilst my husband needed drawers for his socks and boxers.

Well, as you can see, the wait was over, with my discovery of Tylko’s smart organisation storage system. tylko-stylish-storage Introducing you to Tylko’s Type 02 bookcase or shelving unit in Forest green and mint. Doesn’t this stylish storage for the bedroom look wonderful? Of course, it doesn’t have to be just for the bedroom, it can be placed elsewhere in the house too.

For once, my husband could heave a sigh of relief as it isn’t pink, the colour that is overtaking our home.

Ordering is so easy. Simply measure out the space that you want your storage to go into. Then, go online to configure it with shelves, drawers and cupboards. I have selected all three features. There is a brilliant digital visual tool to help you see the configuration you have designed. I’ve styled my shelves with my favourite things, previously hidden away. Can you spot my Marimekko mug collection?

The assembly of the shelving unit required 2 people, but it was easy, as the instructions were very clear.

The colour coded connectors between the pieces snap securely into place. No tools or screws were needed. stylish storage for the home shelving It’s a beautiful solid piece of shelving unit. The design is so sleek and seamless.

There’s so much attention to detail, like how the drawers and door handles match the unit colours, and sit flush against the edge. It’s so fun to lie on the bed, and just stare at some of my favourite things. My Tylko type 2 bookcase fits the title of stylish storage for the bedroom don’t you think?

The wonderful thing is that it is flat packed, so you can dismantle and move it around if needed. Mine will be staying firmly in that spot from now on. The only thing that may change is the decor on the shelves.

( All styling and photography are by Geraldine Tan, editor of Little Big Bell. The unit was kindly gifted by Tylko).

Jollie-Socks-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell I must admit I still have a few more gifts to buy. Time is running out, but the most difficult part is deciding on what gift to buy?

There is still time to get something online and delivered by express, so I thought I’d share with you some of the favourite gifts that I have personally received. Here you have my last minute Christmas gift guide for 2015.

Gift number one are Jollie socks from Jollie Goods. Not only do I love the vibrant colours of these socks but also the concept behind this online store.

It was founded by Ed Vickers, who I have personally met. Whilst at Universty as a student, Ed was inspired to help the homeless. He came up with the idea of providing them with fresh pairs of socks. To all, it may seem a small gesture, but a pair of socks for a homeless person has a large impact, not only providing them comfort and warmth but helping with foot health issues that they are constantly suffering with, I know that for a fact as a doctor.
Jollie-Socks-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell For every pair of socks that we buy, we are doing our part for the homeless. So please do support. They are super cool and comfortable too. They come in matching tins, perfect for the Christmas stockings, don’t you think? Colourful-happy-enamel-plates-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell These bright and colourful enamel plates are just perfect to inspire me. Is there a friend in need of cheering up during this festive season?

They can also be put up on the wall as decor and are by Kate Samuels design. Tylko-totem-mill-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell This Tylko Totem mill for pepper and spices would be the perfect gift for someone who likes to cook and entertain.

It’s designed by Kristian Kowalski. You can customise your Totem mill with different colours online too.

I love mine as it is, in an orangey red with blue on white beech. Old english-company-pillow-cases-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell Have you got a teen who loves to stay in bed with the laptop and headphones? I’ve been reassured this is quite normal behaviour for teens. Well, these pillow cases in a brush lettering font from Old English company would be the perfect gift then. Faber-castell-pen-for-Christ,mas-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell For that friend of yours who is a professional and seem to have everything, how about a gift that is both functional and elegant as this Faber Castell Ambition OpArt ballpoint pen in aqua? Faber-Castell-pen-photo-by-Little-Big-Bell Well, everyone needs a pen right? Even better that the pen comes in such a gorgeous shade of aqua. Parris-wakefield-additions-laptop-and-ipad-cases For a lover of colour and technology, how about these super vibrant laptop and i-pad cases from Parris Wakefield? The designs are crafted digitally by mixing, merging and layering colours from a variety of inspirations. The cases are also waterproof for protection of your gadgets.

I have selected two different patterns and love the bold clash of colours together. Eyeko-eye-make-up-2-on-Little-Big-Bell I have recently discovered this cool eye make up brand called Eyeko. I’ve now started using the eyeliner and mascara. It really does create striking eyes. There are also tutorials on their website for you to learn.

Needless to say, this would be a wonderful gift for a make up fan. Someone who loves trying out new brands to create that perfect look of the season. Little-P-round-and-round-rug For the little fella in your life, how about this super cute Round and Round rug in geometric patterns from Little P? My son loves his rug and we will be showcasing it in his room on the blog soon. Drye-towel-in-a-tin Last but not least, how about a gorgeous towel in a tin from Drye. It may be Winter now, but let this towel remind us of sunny climes and days by the poolside to come. A towel is very much a universal gift, reserve this for someone you have absolutely no idea what to buy for. The designs are all gorgeous too.

Hope you find this last minute gift guide helpful. I’m off to check my gift list now.
