Toad lamp by Himmee

Toad-lamp-Timo-Himmee-styling-and-photo-by-Little-Big-BellI absolutely adore Scandinavian design and was so pleased when Timo Niskanen the founder and designer of Himmee, asked me to do some styling shots for his Toad Lamp.

It was interesting to find out that the name came from Super Mario’s mushroom friend Toad.

I relished the challenge of styling this beautiful lamp so much, that I decided to do four looks.

The lamp is sleek and elegant. The opal glass hand blown, smooth to touch, and emits a soft diffused glow. The base is made of bent oak plywood.

I have styled look number one in pastel tones.Toad-lamp-Skandium-photo-by-Little-Big-BellLove how you can place a decorative accessory into the base. The sweet and inspirational blue print is by Old English Company.Toad-lamp-Skandium-Little-Big-BellLook number two started off with the idea of using a monochrome black and white palette, in line with a Scandinavian style.

But you know me, just can’t resist adding pops of colour.Toad-lamp-Himmee-styling-and-photo-by-Little-Big-BellMaking use of that little arch in the base of the lamp again.Toad-lamp-Timo-Niskanen-styling-by-Geraldine-Tan-Little-Big-BellNow for a feminine touch. Pink and gold is my absolute favourite, so no surprises here in the styling. What do you think?Toad-lamp-Himmee-styling-by-Little-Big-BellThe Toad lamp can also be purchased in Skandium.

Hope you’ve enjoyed the post. Have a lovely start to your week.

( All styling and photos are by Geraldine Tan, editor of Little Big Bell. The lamp was gifted to me for the purpose of styling).

  1. Love the lamp and all your styling! My favorite is the monochrome look with the little wooden monkey!
