Velvet cushions with piping from Homesense in Merton, London.

velvet cushionsVelvet cushions with piping from Homesense in Merton, London.

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend.

Last weekend, I was invited to visit the newly opened Homesense store at the Tandem Centre retail park in Merton, South London.

In fact, it was the first ever Homesense store that I have been to.

Did you know that Homesense is part of the TK Maxx group? It has a similar concept to TK Maxx, but sells branded and quality homewares. Everything there is up to 60% off in price.I decided that since the rooms at home are now starting to get darker with the diminishing light of Autumn, I would purchase something that would brighten up my space.

What do you think of these jewel coloured velvet cushions with contrasting piping? They were so affordable too, around £16 for a pair. The colours really pop against my salmon pink sofa don’t you think? I love how they match my oversized art print colours too. Those jewel tone cushions have really added an “oomph” to my space don’t you think?Velvet is so soft and warm to the touch too. When it gets colder, I will be lighting my fireplace opposite the sofa, perhaps burn a scented candle, play some tunes by Ed Sheeran and then snuggle up. Doesn’t that sound so nice?I’m so pleased with my find. In fact, I’m planning on going back to Homesense for my Christmas shopping. Everything there is such great value for money, and the quality is amazing too.

There are lots of designer one offs there, and stock is constantly changing. Each trip is unique and different.I also bought this mint coloured Ladybird books mug and a new 2018 diary. If I had more capacity to carry, I would have definitely bought more.

There are lots of Homesense branches now popping up, and you really should go and explore. A word of warning, you may become hooked, as I am now.

Hope you’ve enjoyed the fun and economical update of my living room space. I would love to know what you think. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead.

Finally, I have lots of colourful homewares posts coming up, and I can’t wait to show them to you soon.

(All the styling and photography are by me, Geraldine Tan, editor of little Big Bell. This is a sponsored collabration but all my viewas are my own).
