Wireworks Tray table from Houseology.

How-to-style-your-bedside-table-1-styling-and-photo-by-Geraldine-Tan-of-Little-Big-BellA few weeks back, I was excitedly telling you about the tray table trend. It’s my mobile solution of delivering treats and drinks to visiting guests, or even to myself.

I love the concept of furniture that is multifunctional and perfect for small space living.

Let me show you my newest tray table.The-best-things-in-life-just-happens-photo-by-Little-Big-BellIntroducing you to Houseology’s Damien side table by Wireworks. It’s made from solid American oak and wood veneer. Its compact square shape and clean lines gives it a definite contemporary feel.

Since Valentine’s day is fast approaching, I thought I’d style a few vignettes made out of romantic gifts.

Admittedly, these are romantic gifts that I bought for myself.

Well, why not right? I think we should all reward ourselves, regardless of whether we have anyone to spoil us on that special day, don’t you think?

Go on! set the scene with a glass of bubbly, a simple rose and a few inspirational messages on cards. On the table, is also a beautifully illustrated book of 100 iconic moments in fashion called ‘The Dress’. It’s by Megan Hess and a wonderful Valentine’s day gift.Celebrate-Valentine's-day-photo-by-Little-Big-BellThere’s no denying that I am a big fan of pink and gold. I’ve added my current favourite accent colour, green, into the mix.

Green is already very much on trend this season in the interiors scene. My favourite green hues are Emerald and Sage green. You’ll be seeing more of them on the blog soon.

Do you spot the brass cat? I bought it last weekend from Anthropologie. It’s actually a bottle opener. Really cool don’t you think?

That pretty bracelet with a bow is from my favourite shop, Kate Spade New York, and those earrings in blush and Turquoise are by Philippe Ferrandis.Bedside-table-styled-by-Little-Big-BellI adore using this tray table to feature my favourite things.

It’s also great to use as a white background, for flat lay photography. The added bonus being that you can transport it around the house, to where there is natural lighting for that perfect shot.

That’s kind of a hint to my other half! I’m not sure he has noticed it yet. Oh well, maybe if I leave it up long enough, subliminal messaging may work.Colourful-bedside-tray-table-styled-by-Geraldine-Tan-Little-Big-BellHere’s a shot of the whole table. It’s so easy to assemble. Look how elegant those oak legs are, so slimline with its simple straight cut.

I have added my matching oak Flamma candlesticks by Wireworks to the vignette.Wooden-candlestick-by-Wireworks-photo-by-Little-Big-BellHere it is up close. The candlestick is available from Houseology, along with many more beautiful wooden home decor pieces.Bedside-table-styled-by-Little-Big-BellHope you have enjoyed this post.Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and Valentine’s day ahead.

I will be back with more colourful posts soon.
