Today was Clerkenwell Design week and I had a fun time exploring the exhibitions with the lovely Aga Tinca visiting from Poland.
I thought I’d show you some of my favourite finds. These colourful lights from Auxilium Salvage totally caught my eyes. They are salvaged lamps, reconditioned and painted in a variety of colours.
I had great difficulty picking my favourite. They look great grouped together don’t you think?
Next, are these stacking petal tables / stools by a talented designer called Bim Burton. I’m loving the yellow and deep blue shades.
Another favourite is the print from Lovely Pigeon, a Scottish design studio run by Kirsty Thomas. The 2014 collection consist of stylish hand pulled screen prints foiled in Copper, Brass and Silver.
I have at last found my side table. The yellow Peg side table by Barnby & Day, with its pared down Scandinavian simplicity and bright pop of yellow, is just the perfect complement to my mint coloured sofa.
Now this I thought was cool and unique! A table fitted with a ceramic plate to hold the teacup which serves its usual function but could also be a plant holder.
The table is crafted from solid ash wood, with waxed cotton strings around its legs. The strings come in a variety of colours too. The table is by DesignK.
Last but not least, I fell in love with this pale pink pillow with cute bows from Holly’s house. It is not yet available at her shop but I know who will be first in the queue when it is!
Hope you’ve enjoyed my picks. Enjoy Clerkenwell design week, if you are going!
Hi Geraldine, thank you for this little design tour. My favorite is Bim Burton. I just visited the site and I like the style. Especially the walnut valet chair.
Hi Angela! You are so welcome! Bim Burton’s furniture is one of my favourites too! He is such a lovely person to chat to at the event too.
