Yesterday, I was invited to a special press event to see the launch of some of Portmeirion and Spode’s new tableware collections for 2023.
This beautifully set table features the new range by Sara Miller for Portmeirion called Artisanne Noir.
Artisanne Noir has been inspired by the essence of Morocco.
It features a striking black print on white, embellished with pops of gold. Each piece is beautifully tactile with organic curves.
This collection is very different to Sara Miller’s signature use of bright vibrant colours, but it still bears the hallmark of her work with the print pattern design.
I do love this collection. It’s elegant and will appeal to a larger market.
What’s wonderful is that it pairs well with colours, so you can still add pops of colour to your table, like this stylist has with the table runner and Spring flowers.
Talking of Spring, feast your eye on the beautiful tableware here by the talented Sophie Conran for Portmeirion, called Lavandula.
It features illustrated sprigs of lavender in soft shades of lilac with leafy green.
These pieces are wonderfully tactile too and theyare all microwave, dishwasher and oven safe.
I do love Sophie Conran tableware and still have the wonderful pastel coloured set she designed. Take a look at my pastel Sophie Conran tableware here.
Now for collectors of Royalty memorabilia, these King Charles III coronation Spode pieces will no doubt be flying off the shelf.
The pieces are in Spode’s iconic cobalt blue and white and made in stoke on Trent. The details are synonymous with the monarch, and encompasses the 3 UK nations.Spode has been makers of exquisite tableware since 1770, and definitely a British brand rooted in history.
I was excited to see their collaboration with Morris and Co, another quintessentially British brand.
This collection feature beautiful Morris & Co prints from their archive collection, in soft and sweet pastel hues.
There are table cloth, napkins and table runners too.Last but not least, this is a collection by Spode for lovers of bold bright colours, floral and leopard prints called Creatures of Curiosity.
The collection also features scalloped edges with gold embellishments.
Hope you have enjoyed seeing these new collections. They are so beautiful aren’t they? It’s certainly getting me in the mood for Spring/Summer entertaining.
What do you think?
