I thought it would be fun to show you a shoot that I styled and photographed recently for Shore Projects, a cool watch brand that is inspired by the beauty and fun of the British seaside. The shoot’s theme was ‘Summer and Fun’ and was part of a campaign for Project 2, Shore Projects’s latest collection of four new watch faces.
The four new faces were in silver, gold, rose gold and black.
I picked the Rose gold face called Salcombe. The strap above is in Rose gold.
What’s cool about this watch is its innovative strap mechanism which allows for interchangeable straps.
I wanted to create a Summer vintage feel here. Love the light against that lace dress with the Tan suede strap, and the striking pink Peonies contrasted against that 1960s blue laminate desk. So, to me Summer and fun means bright yellow.
Here I’ve shot the Pistachio green polka dot strap against a beautiful yellow floral Summer skirt. The bright pink and powder blue of the book is just the perfect accent colour to show off the mint.It was a sunny day with a clear blue sky, time to sunbath on the deck.
I must admit, I have fallen in love with this watch.
Rose gold, mint and polka dots, such a great combination. Seeing that it is now Summer, I thought it would be fun to use this cute dress with pastel ice cream cones in the shoot.
The watch strap is now a pretty powder blue. I loved matching that pop of orange in both the shoe and that sweet hand held rose.
I think the peach and orange tones really bring out the light blue of the strap. Here’s another view. That tint from the Rose gold really looks great with powder blue, don’t you think? Here they are all together with the interchangeable straps. Time for tea after a day’s shoot. What’s great about this watch is that it is Unisex. Hope you’ve enjoyed my styling shots.
I never knew photographing watches could be tricky as you need to capture its details at particular angles and avoid reflection, but I had such a fun time doing this.
Wishing you a lovely week ahead.

Gorgeous pictures and I want that watch, with the turquoise strap!
Noticed the book in the shoot is an old favourite of mine ‘Mrs Harris goes to Paris’ by Paul Gallico which I can recommend and will now re-read.
Hiya Christine, go on and splash out on the watch. You deserve it. 😉 x
Wow these are ace, I love the interchangeable straps! Great colours and your skirts is fab too! X
Hiya Lori! Hopefully seeing you on Saturday 🙂 Those straps are so cool aren’t they? I can’t decide. xx
I’m waiting for a box of watches and straps to arrive so this post has me very excited! Although now I’m thinking should I have gone for the Salcombe not the Cowes! The rose gold is beautiful.
Hi Em, lovely to have you visit here. I think the Cowes is lovely too. Enjoy your watches 🙂 x
Hello Geraldine, such a lovely photoshoot you did! Congratulations! I truly love these flowers (especially the peonies) and the rose gold watch with the mint green straps. Totally ready for summer now, when seeing these pictures. 😉 Hugs, Inge x
