Somebody has turned 21 years old. It is a brand that is truly close to my heart.
I say this because I have shopped there for as long as I have known, from homewares to clothing to fragrance and children’s goods. Both my children’s beds come from this shop, as well as the majority of our bedding.
When I walk into this shop, I instantly feel at home because of the wonderful scents permeating the air from the candles. I never leave empty handed.
This wonderful iconic brand is none other than The White Company. Happy 21st birthday!
You may be surprised, since I’m always associated with colours, but my home has very much a neutral backdrop. For their 21st birthday, The White Company have launched an edit of 21 iconic products.
It was wonderful waking up this Bank holiday weekend to a delivery of a gift from the edit to celebrate their birthday.
It was love at first sight when I saw the large set of Porto stoneware heart plates. Perfect for lazy Sunday lunch with the family.
I decided to style and shoot the plates.I absolutely adore the Twenty One candle that I received too. In fact it is now burning away in my study as I type.
The scent of this candle has been put together by Chrissie Rucker, the founder of The White Company.
It is a juicy rich infusion of citrus lemon, neroli and grapefruit, laced with jasmine and magnolia, with a base of vertivert.
Doesn’t that sound absolutely divine? It smells amazing! Just walk into a White Company store now and you’ll experience what I mean.I’ve decided to style the shoot in a fresh green and lemon, just like the candle’s scent.
Actually, I think lemon is the new ‘in’ fruit. We’ve had pineapples (admittedly still going strong) and watermelons, now it’s time for the lemons. Sorry for digressing. The reflective silver glass on the candle is so elegant, definitely a good looking candle on the mantlepiece.
It would look wonderful on the dining table too, reflecting the colours of the tableware and linens.Happy birthday to The White Company! I’ll be back shopping soon. ( Well, actually I was already there yesterday.)
Can you see that large Bonbon jar in the background filled with lemons? Well, that was one of my buys yesterday, along with a few other things. Told you I never leave empty handed.
Just a heads up to a competition I noticed whilst I was in store that the White Company is running. If you spend £50 or more and sign up to their mailing list, you can enter into a draw to win their entire homewares window. Competition ends at midnight 22nd September 2015.
Wishing you all a wonderful start to your weeks.
