pink afternoon tea at shangri-laThe Pink Afternoon tea at TING in Shangri-La Shard London, is definitely one not to be missed.

It’s a delicious and luxurious afternoon tea with a wonderful bird’s eye view of London.

The tea is part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

A portion of proceeds from the tea will help fund breast cancer work at Guy’s hospital in London.

The restaurant was a visual delight in pinkwith gorgeous floral displays throughout. pink afternoon tea at shangri-laThese Pink Welcome teas made of berries, honey, lemon and mint were so refreshing, and appeared to be floating on clouds created from dry ice. No afternoon tea is complete without a little tipple right?

I went for the Fen Hong Cocktail. It was a mix of Hayman’s Sloe Gin, Hong Kong Baijiu, Fresh Pineapple, Aspall Cider and Orange Blossom.

It didn’t disappoint and was so pretty to look at too.

There was also an amazing selection of Shangri-La signature loose-leaf teas to pick from. We tried a few from the menu. The Pink Afternoon tea have tiers of savouries, freshly baked pink scones and sweet pastries.pink afternoon tea at shangri-laThere were tasty finger sandwiches with fillings such as “Pink’’ Roast Beef horseradish, and Cucumber, Cream Cheese and Sriracha.

Behind the finger sandwiches were Chicken, Cranberry & Sage Sausage Rolls, Smoked Salmon on Rye and Beetroot, Stilton & Walnut Quiches.

The freshly baked pink scones came with Cornish clotted cream, strawberry jam and Pandan pink grapefruit curd.pink afternoon tea at shangri-laLast but not least were the sweet pastries.

These were a collaboration between 4 brave ladies who have had breast cancer at Guy’s Cancer unit, and Head Pastry Chef, Emma Watts.

They were named after their co-creators, and called Claire’s Courageous Cherry Macaron;  Clare’s Raspberry Crémeux Pink Peppercorn, Lemon Ganache; Fig delice au Bertha and Fortune’s Lychee & Rose Sandwich.

Everything was so delicious and beautifully presented.

We had a super relaxing and enjoyable Sunday.

The Pink Afternoon tea will run till 7th November 2021 at TING Restaurant in Shangri-La Shard, London from 12:00 – 16:00.
